Build Your Own Notebook

We're trying something new.  We're listing the systems we normally deliver quite a few of, and giving you the opportunity to configure you own notebook.  You get to select the processor, the memory, the hard drive, etc., and we'll build it for you.

Now you might be wondering why you would want to build your own notebook.  The answer is very simple - you decide what it is you get!  You don't have to settle for a faster or slower processor, less memory, the wrong operating system, etc.  Also, you control from the start the software that gets installed on the system!  In other words, you get to call the shots.  If you don't know what you need, we'll be glad to help you out.

Progress has eliminated the Z71A and Z91E.  These were notebooks we loved working with, and our customers loved too.  We have great expectations for the Asus "S" series notebooks, which promise to be top performers for the next year or so.  When bringing a new platform on line there are a lot of challenges.  There is always something that just didn't make it on time, or the whole platforms gets delayed to meet the demands of another new platform.

You might notice we have a thing for Asus notebooks.  While not the least expensive notebooks available, they are durable, dependable, and affordable.  When there is a problem, Asus makes the system right and they do it fast!

Asus S96J

The S96J is a 15.4" Centrino Duo notebook from Asus.  We've delivered several of them, and they are just as impressive as the Z71A that they are replacing.  If you want to see one, ask Vickie to show you her's.

Compal EL80

This is the Compal EL80.  This is rapidly becoming our favorite notebook for several resons.  The first is availability.  Second, the wrist rest is better designed than any model we've seen recently.  It has both a PCMCIA slot and a PCI-Express slot.  There are also some pretty neat gadgets like a fingerprint reader and  camera cover to help set this unit apart from the crowd.

Asus S62J

The S62J is the latest 14" Centrino Duo notebook from Asus.  We did a batch of them for a school and they even impressed me.  While the screen isn't as big as the S96J, the footprint isn't as big either.  Very comfortable to work with, and that screen is very sharp.
