Applying for Assistance from the HANDS Foundation

To request assistance from the HANDS Foundation, a written application is needed. This is accomplished in letter format by the person with the disability or their guardian. Applications can not be accept from friends or other family members.

The application must state the disability, the impact on their life, system requirements, and how the system will be used. Please keep in mind that we are dealing with donated equipment, so don't expect a top of the line system. Try to keep the system requirements to what is needed, not what you would like to have.

Applications are prioritized and clients then are put on a waiting list. When a suitable system is available, the client will be notified. Because of the different requirements of each client, some people may be on the waiting list much longer than others. We do our best to match the systems to the client's requirements.
